ensis tee – papercut patterns

hi everyone!

i’ve got a tshirt today to show you, the ensis tee by papercut patterns.

i bought the PDF when they had their black friday dealio on, i think it worked out to about £5 after the conversion or something super cheap!  i need to rack up my basics, i’ve got lots of handmade stuff but not many tshirts so this was perfect.

after some cutting and pritt sticking (my DEFINITE new favourite way of putting PDFs together!) i had some time before work one morning so i used my spare 15 mins to cut the fabric out.

i used a cotton jersey i bought from ebay, i think it was around £6p/m, i got one metre of grey marl, and another metre which is supposed to be dark grey/charcoal but in reality it’s got a blue undertone.  at least it still matches!  the dangers of internet fabric shopping eh.

i put it together in about an hour or so when i got back from work on the same day i cut it all out.  i used the over locker for everything except the hems.  i chose to make the view without the separate cuffs and hem band because i wanted it to be more like a tshirt.  i think it would be nice in a thicker fabric, maybe sweatshirt-y and then i would use the separate bands.

overall this was really quick and easy to put together, and i will definitely be making some more!  my cousin was telling me about all the different versions she has thought up too, so it sounds like i might be making a couple for her too, haha!

happy sewing!
