stitches 2016
hiya!
a couple of weeks ago charlotte from english girl at home asked me if i wanted to go to the stitches show with her at the NEC. it’s a trade show where people show off their stuff and then people that own shops buy their things!
or if you’re me, wandering around wishing you could buy things and blagging a free thimble. oh yeah.
the day started with a little demonstration from DMC where we got a really nice goody bag! it had some crochet things in and embroidery too. two of my favourite things!
i tried my hand at embroidering a little cat on our free bag. the paper the template is printed on soakes away in warm water, just leaving your design! really good idea.
after a lovely breakfast we started mooching around the show, here’s some pictures from the day…

is three unicorn pictures too many for one blog post? BUT LOOK. i’ve never wanted to paper mache anything so much.
my favourite stall of the day was from hoooked, but they wouldn’t let us take pictures of the stand! here’s a link to their website anyway. they’ve got some really lovely kits and they’re made out of recycled tshirt scraps. really lovely stuff! i had a sample of it and made myself a pen pot. it’s great!
overall i had a lovely day, saw lots of pretty things and it’s made me even more excited for the hobbycrafts show in a couple of weekends!

Haha, I look really deep in thought there! Have you crocheted any more of those bunnies? I need to learn!
no i haven’t, been making things for a friend’s baby shower and my mom for mother’s day! they are cute though. would be lovely to do a little garland of them!
